Anti-Ragging Policy & Guidelines
The Government of India and the State Government of Haryana have strictly banned the ragging of newly admitted students in all Professional Institutions. As per instructions of the State Government and the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India, stern disciplinary action will be taken against any student indulging in ragging.
Punishments & Penalties for Violation:
- Rigorous Imprisonment: Up to 3 years imprisonment as per Indian Penal Code.
- Financial Penalty: Fine up to ₹25,000/- with public apology.
- Academic Sanctions: Expulsion from the Institute and hostels/mess.
- Benefit Cancellations: Withholding of scholarships, results, and representation in campus events.
- Placement Restrictions: Debarring from campus placements and industrial training.
What Constitutes Ragging?
Any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written, or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness any student(s), indulging in rowdy or undisciplined activities causing annoyance, hardship, or psychological harm, or raising fear or apprehension in fresher or junior students.
Anti-Ragging Flying Squad
A special Flying Squad team consisting of faculty members from different departments remains vigilant in all teaching blocks and institutional areas round the clock up to midnight to prevent any kind of ragging, interact with students, and maintain strict discipline on campus.
